OSHA has released COVID-19 Guidance for the Construction Workforce to help protect the health and safety of America’s construction workers during these uncertain times. - Workers should wear masks over their nose and mouth to prevent the virus from spreading.
- Workers should wear PPE (personal protective equipment) as usual.
- Workers should avoid physical contact with other workers.
- Workers need to try and stay at least six feet away from others, if possible.
- Workers should be trained on how to put on and take off PPE.
- Workers should cover all coughs and sneezes.
- Workers should wash hands often or be provided with alcohol-based hand sanitizers.
- Workers should wipe down tools and equipment with alcohol-based wipes before and after usage.
- Workers should keep in-person meetings short.
- Workers should follow social distancing practices as best as they can.
- Workers should have access to hand sanitizer all day.
- Workers should report any safety concerns.
