- In 2016, the organization has conducted more than 921 unlicensed activity outreach events, 49 stings, and 828 sweeps.
- In 2017, five unlicensed contractors were caught in a sting operation and brought to Flagler County jail.
- This past February in Hillsborough County, 118 unlicensed contractors were arrested after a nine-month-long construction fraud sting for performing $540,000 worth of work illegally.
- In September, eight unlicensed and uninsured contractors were arrested in Volusia County. Deputies captured the arrests on a body camera. They set up a sting house in Deltona and another in DeLand to lure unlicensed contractors in.
And, there’s far more arrests than those listed above! As you can see, Florida takes unlicensed contractor work seriously.
